This is one of my most popular procedures. At Premier Plastic Surgery Associates, we use pain pumps to minimize the postoperative discomfort. This has revolutionalized the recovery for patients, with most patients ambulating from the center immediately after surgery and being fully recovered within 5‐7 days. During this procedure, I remove the excess skin and fat below the umbilicus (belly‐button), tighten the Rectus muscles and liposuction the flanks (waist) to give the anterior abdomen and waist the hour‐glass curvature. Some patients add on liposuction of the upper back area to improve their profile.
